The Institute was founded on October 28th, 2006 by a group of scholars and experts from industry, government, academia, and research institutes in Taiwan who are passionate about disaster prevention and relief research and development, and are committed to promoting long-term research and development of disaster prevention and relief technology. At present, there are 222 individual members and 23 group members, and 61 seminars and nearly 61 lectures have been held to promote the promotion of disaster prevention and relief technology.

The Society's activities include the organization of general meetings, the review and publication of the Journal of Disaster Prevention and Relief Technology and Management, and the promotion of study tours to promote the exchange of domestic and international technology in disaster prevention.
Up to now, there are 23 group members and 222 individual members, including central, local, academic and industrial organizations. Welcome to join us to exchange ideas and explore new disaster management technologies and applications.
The "Journal of Disaster Prevention Technology and Management" is published in March and September every year, and books of the journal could be read in "Airiti Library".
